Frigate birds and setting sun.

Welcome

Greetings, gentle reader. Salutations to you who pass this way. I am Jay. (Jaye? Che? Zhay? I can’t remember. It doesn’t matter.) I am here for all time, floating in this void, this place between places, where time holds no dominion, yet everything is time. This is where you will find me. This is where I exist. Except when I’m somewhere else, sometime else, someone else.

When I’m here - here where there is no “when” – I remember it all. All those people, all those lives. I remember being born, living and loving, suffering, laughing and dying. I recall happiness, sorrow, pain and pleasure – so many times. So many lives. I remember a thousands lives in years gone by, and more stretching into the future. Have I lived each life in full, or do I just ride on another’s reality? Am I reincarnated, or merely the ultimate observer? I don’t know. I’m not sure if I ever knew. I can’t remember where (who? when?) it all started, or if there ever was a beginning. Will there ever be an end?

I drift here for ever, where there is no time. Except when the dice roll and I am somewhere else, some-when else, someone else …
